The marine and coastal environments of the Pacific Northwest are a pristine and important resource for the nation. For more than three decades, the Hatfield Marine Science Center (HMSC) has conducted research and provided education to promote the conservation of these environments and their natural resources. During that time, HMSC has grown into the largest marine laboratory in the Pacific Northwest, and has hosted over 9 million visitors to its public education facilities.

The Friends of Hatfield Marine Science Center serve as liaisons between HMSC and the public-at-large, as supporters and/or volunteers. The group provides vital assistance that enables HMSC to educate the public about the importance of marine science, ultimately promoting responsible stewardship of our marine resources.

Now, by joining Friends of HMSC, you have the opportunity to support these research and education programs while learning about exciting new developments and opportunities in marine science.
